Push Back Rack

Push Back Rack allows for pallets to be stored multiple levels deep. Pallets are stored on a series of nesting carts. As a pallet is loaded from the front, it pushes the pallet behind one position. When the front pallet is removed, the rear pallets come forward to the front picking position. Some attribute of Push-Back Rack are:

• Pallets can be stored 2,3,4,5 and 6 pallets deep
• Pallets are loaded and unloaded from the front picking position and the lift truck driver never enters the rack
• Pallet loads are always in the front picking position
• More pick faces than Drive-In Rack because a different SKU can be stored at each level
• Allows for storage of products using a LIFO (last-in, first-out) storage method
• Greater storage density than selective pallet rack because of the minimum number of forklift aisles needed
